Wyoming broadcasting community mourns Frank Gambino and Brian Scott

The Wyoming broadcasting community is mourning the loss of longtime sports broadcaster Frank Gambino, who passed away on September 10, 2026. Gambino had a prominent career in the state, including roles at KFNB-TV, KTWO-TV, and KCWY-TV. He was a three-time Wyoming Sportscaster of the Year and notably covered the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.

His passing has also prompted reflection on the decade-long anniversary of the death of another local broadcasting legend, Brian Scott. Scott died in a motorcycle accident in Montana on September 18, 2016. Former broadcaster Bob Price noted Scott’s significant impact on the K2Radio morning show and his ability to connect personally with listeners.
