Wyoming Department of Transportation announces roadwork in Sheridan and Rock Springs

The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) is initiating several infrastructure and safety projects across the state.

In Sheridan, WYDOT will install traffic lane delineators at signalized intersections on Coffeen Avenue, specifically at Avoca/Sugarland, Sugar Lane, and Brundage Lane. The project aims to improve roadway guidance and reduce high-risk left-turn conflicts. To minimize impact on local businesses and commuters, installation work will be conducted exclusively at night starting Sunday, August 23.

In Rock Springs, concrete roadway repairs are scheduled for eastbound Interstate 80 lanes between Exit 102 and just east of Exit 107. The work, involving DeBernardi Construction, is expected to last approximately two weeks starting Monday, August 24. Additionally, the Exit 103 off-ramp at College Hill will close for two days for repairs, reopening on the evening of Tuesday, August 25. Drivers should expect single-lane closures, reduced speeds, and a 16-foot width restriction in the construction zone.
