Wyoming football enters Week 3 of 2026 season

Week 3 of the 2026 football season features significant matchups in both Wyoming high school and collegiate levels.

In Wyoming high school football, conference play continues for several classes. Notable matchups include No. 3 Cheyenne Central traveling to face No. 2 Natrona County in Class 4A, and a Class 3A rematch between No. 5 Riverton and No. 2 Cody. In Class 1A 9-man, Wind River defeated Southeast 32-22, while Saratoga secured a 52-0 victory over Wyoming Indian.

In collegiate Mountain West action, the Wyoming Cowboys (1-1) are scheduled to face the Central Michigan Chippewas (1-1) on September 19. Both teams enter the matchup following narrow victories over FCS opponents and have struggled offensively, averaging a combined 13.5 points per game through the first two weeks of the season.
