Wyoming high school cross country begins 2026 season

Wyoming high school cross country teams commenced their 2026 season during the final weekend of August. The opening week featured competitions across several states, including Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, and Nebraska.

In Afton, Wyoming, the More Cowbell Invitational saw Kellsie Dunne of Star Valley win the girls' race. In Colorado, Cheyenne Central secured individual titles at the Horizon Invitational, with Cal Bibbey setting a course record. Other notable results included Aria Wheeler winning the girls' race at the Green River Invite and Lexi Longhurst winning the girls' division at the Kelly Walsh Bear Trap Invitational.
