Wyoming high school golf begins 2026 season

The 2026 Wyoming high school golf season has commenced, featuring a six-week schedule that concludes in late September. The opening week includes several invitationals held in Douglas, Powell, and Sheridan between August 12 and August 14.

Several athletes are returning to defend their state titles from 2025. Tazlyn Wagner of Kemmerer High School seeks a third consecutive title, while Tate Nichols aims for a third straight 3A crown. Other defending champions include Addison Bettinger from Buffalo and Trevan Benson from Kemmerer.

The state championship schedule is set for September. Class 3A and 4A competitions will take place on September 18 and 19, with Class 3A at Cottonwood Golf Course in Torrington and Class 4A at Purple Sage Golf Course in Evanston. Class 2A championships will follow at Purple Sage on September 22 and 23.
