Wyoming weather forecast predicts heavy rain and storms

Southeast Wyoming is expected to experience unsettled weather through the weekend, characterized by frequent rounds of showers and thunderstorms. In the Cheyenne and Laramie areas, a tropical system from the Gulf of California is forecast to move northeast, bringing a risk of excessive rainfall and potentially strong winds exceeding 60 MPH east of Interstate 25.

In Jackson, a slow-moving low-pressure system will bring moisture typically associated with the Southwest Monsoon, which is unusual for this time of year. Residents can expect intermittent showers and thunderstorms from Thursday through Saturday, accompanied by a cooling trend and lowering snow levels. Rainfall amounts in the Jackson area are projected to be between a half-inch and an inch.
