Wyoming Whiskey launches limited bourbon for US 250th anniversary

Wyoming Whiskey, now again Wyoming‑owned, introduced a limited‑edition straight bourbon called “State of the Union” to mark the United States’ 250th year of independence. The bourbon was aged six years, bottled at 98 proof and described as offering raspberry, lemon, peach, white chocolate and brown‑sugar notes with a candied‑ginger and cherry finish.

The spirit is crafted with locally sourced non‑GMO grains, limestone water from nearby aquifers and aged in newly charred oak barrels, reflecting the climate of the Big Horn Basin. Co‑founder David DeFozio said the release celebrates the endurance of the land, people and independent spirit of the West. “State of the Union” is sold at the Whiskey Shop in Kirby, Barrel House in Jackson and other select retailers across Wyoming.
