Wyszków District court detains 15-year-old following school stabbing

A 15-year-old boy has been placed in a juvenile detention center for three months following a stabbing attack at a school in the Wyszków district. The District Court in Wyszków issued this preventive measure after the teenager was accused of murder and attempted murder of two individuals.

Police officials described footage from the attacker's camera as “drastic,” showing the youth preparing for the act and reacting to his actions after the strikes were delivered. The Chief of Police noted that the perpetrator appeared to be a lost and neglected child, highlighting broader systemic issues regarding youth psychiatry, lack of security, and a deficiency in emotional support and relationships among young people.

The incident was partially mitigated by a school director in Leszczydół-Nowiny, who managed to restrain the attacker until emergency services arrived. The director reported that during the confrontation, the teenager expressed a desire to be hugged.
