Wyze launches Scale Ultra BodyScan Plus smart scale

Wyze has introduced the Scale Ultra BodyScan Plus, an updated smart scale designed to improve user experience by moving the display from the base to a 4.3-inch color TFT screen built into the handle. This hardware change allows users to view body composition metrics and trends at eye level without needing to bend down or rely on a smartphone.

The device utilizes dual-frequency bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) with eight electrodes positioned in both the platform and the handle. This configuration enables the scale to estimate muscle and fat distribution across the arms, legs, and torso, rather than relying solely on measurements through the feet. The scale tracks over 50 metrics, including body fat percentage, muscle mass, visceral fat, bone mass, and basal metabolic rate.

Equipped with built-in Wi-Fi, the scale automatically syncs data to the Wyze app and supports integration with Google Health, Apple Health, and Android’s Health Connect. The product is available for $149 through Wyze.com and Amazon and does not require a monthly subscription.
