X Factor 2026: First Live Show features elimination and comeback

The Live Show phase of X Factor 2026 commenced on October 22 at the Teatro Repower in Assago. Hosted by Giorgia, the premiere featured 12 contestants divided into four teams led by judges Francesco Gabbani, Irama, Jake La Furia, and Paola Iezzi.

In a significant twist, the episode saw both an elimination and a return. Alice Fregoso, a member of Francesco Gabbani's team, was eliminated following a judges' vote after a showdown with Veronica Bruganelli. However, the introduction of the ‘Škoda X Pass’ allowed for a comeback; Teo Bok won a flash televote against Timothée Bonnardel, earning a spot in Gabbani's team to replace Fregoso.

Marco Mengoni appeared as a special guest, performing an exclusive set including ‘Cambia un uomo’, ‘Luce’, and a cover of John Lennon’s ‘Jealous Guy’. He also announced his upcoming album, ‘felice sì, ma tutto sbagliato’, set for release on December 11.
