X Factor returns for 20th season with new judge Irama

The twentieth edition of the musical talent show X Factor is set to premiere on September 10, broadcasting on Sky Uno and NOW. The new season features a refreshed judging panel, with singer Irama joining returning judges Francesco Gabbani, Jake La Furia, and Paola Iezzi, replacing Achille Lauro.

Giorgia returns for her third consecutive year as the host, focusing on supporting contestants backstage. The competition structure begins with Auditions in September, followed by Bootcamps in October and the Live Shows starting October 22. The season will conclude with a grand finale on December 3 at the Unipol Forum in Assago, Milan.

During the press conference, judges discussed the modern challenges of the music industry. Jake La Furia highlighted the distinction between achieving viral fame and genuine musical artistry, while Irama expressed his enthusiasm for guiding new talents through his own experience as a former talent show contestant.
