X launches MCP server for AI-driven advertising analysis
X has launched an Ads Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, enabling advertisers to connect their campaign data with third-party AI tools like Claude and Grok. This open standard allows marketers to use natural-language queries to analyze performance, build strategies, and receive recommendations, reducing the need to rely exclusively on X’s native advertising interface.
The launch follows similar moves by other social platforms, including Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, and Snapchat, which have also announced MCP integrations. This trend reflects a broader shift toward an open model of AI-assisted campaign management, where brands can utilize preferred AI systems to interpret complex ecommerce signals—such as ROAS, audience saturation, and inventory levels—to make more informed, actionable advertising decisions.
