X-Men expected to play major role in Avengers: Secret Wars

Reports indicate that the X-Men will play a significantly larger role in the upcoming film Avengers: Secret Wars than previously anticipated. Rather than appearing solely in cameo roles, the mutant team is expected to have a substantial presence in the Multiverse Saga finale.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has indicated that Secret Wars will serve to reset the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) into a singular timeline, introducing a new age of mutants. The production is expected to feature a mix of returning actors from previous Fox X-Men films and new cast members, such as Sadie Sink as Jean Grey.

Additionally, the character Cassandra Nova, a powerful Mummudrai and antagonist from the X-Men comics, has been introduced to the MCU. Known for her ability to create genetic twins and her history of causing mass destruction, her presence marks a significant escalation in the power dynamics of the franchise.
