X social media trend sees surge in non-Jewish Zionist declarations
A viral trend has emerged on the social media platform X, where non-Jewish users are publicly declaring their support for Zionism using a standardized linguistic formula. An analysis of public posts identified over 600 matching declarations from approximately 550 distinct accounts between October 4 and October 11.
The posts typically follow the structure: “I am not Jewish. I am [nationality, religion, or identity]. And I am a Zionist.” The trend saw a significant surge in activity starting October 9, with roughly 88% of the analyzed posts appearing from that date onward.
The participants represent a wide array of identities, including various nationalities such as Irish, English, American, Canadian, and Iranian, as well as diverse religious and philosophical backgrounds including Christian, Catholic, Muslim, Hindu, atheist, and agnostic. The data suggests this is not a centralized or coordinated campaign, but rather a rapid diffusion of a shared messaging model among individual users seeking to reaffirm support for Israel and the right to Jewish self-determination.
