AI startups Together, Venice and X Square raise billions in new funding rounds

Together AI announced a Series C financing led by Aramco Ventures that raised $800 million, more than doubling its valuation to $8.3 billion. The Bengaluru‑based platform, which lets companies run open‑source AI models at lower cost, said the capital will expand its inference services and increase computing capacity roughly 50‑fold over five years. Customers include Cursor, Cognition and Decagon, and annual bookings topped $1.15 billion last quarter.

Venice AI secured a $65 million Series A investment that valued the privacy‑focused AI platform at $1 billion, making it a unicorn on its first external round. Led by Dragonfly with participation from Coinbase Ventures and North Island Ventures, the funding will fund GPU purchases and the build‑out of proprietary data centers. Venice, founded by crypto entrepreneur Erik Voorhees, reports more than three million active users and an annualized run‑rate revenue of over $70 million.

Chinese embodied‑AI firm X Square Robot completed four consecutive financing rounds, culminating in a Series C that lifted its valuation above $2.8 billion. Backed by major Chinese tech groups including Meituan, Alibaba, ByteDance and Xiaomi, the funding will support core research and the development of general‑purpose embodied AI models and robot hardware for household, industrial and logistics applications.
