Cole Palmer signs long-term Chelsea contract extension until 2034
Chelsea FC has officially announced a long-term contract extension for English midfielder Cole Palmer, securing his future at Stamford Bridge until 2034. The 24-year-old, who joined the club from Manchester City in August 2023, has extended his previous agreement that was set to expire in 2033.
Since joining the Blues, Palmer has become a central figure in the team's attack, recording 91 goal contributions in 138 appearances. His tenure has included winning the FIFA Club World Cup and the UEFA Conference League. Palmer expressed his delight with the decision, stating, “Chelsea means a lot to me and I think the club is going in the right direction.” He noted that discussions with the club's owners, sporting directors, and manager Xabi Alonso provided the confidence necessary to commit long-term.
The extension comes amid a strong start to the current season, where Palmer has already recorded four goals and two assists in seven matches. The move is part of Chelsea's broader strategy to secure key talent, following similar long-term commitments from players like Joao Pedro.
