Xabi Alonso denies Cole Palmer transfer rumors to Manchester United

Xabi Alonso has dismissed speculation regarding a potential transfer of Cole Palmer from Chelsea to Manchester United. Despite rumors circulating during a period of inconsistent form for the player, Alonso confirmed that Palmer's departure was never discussed during recent negotiations between the two clubs.

While Chelsea and Manchester United held talks regarding the transfer of Andrey Santos, Alonso stated that Palmer was always part of the club's plans and that no discussions took place concerning his exit. Alonso has instead challenged Palmer to deliver a statement performance in upcoming high-profile fixtures.

Reports indicate that while Palmer has personal ties to Manchester, officials from both clubs did not bring up his name during summer interactions. This follows Palmer signing a new long-term contract with Chelsea earlier this month.
