Xanh Pôn General Hospital staff member donates organs to save three patients
A long-term staff member at Xanh Pôn General Hospital in Hanoi, 52-year-old B. H. A., has donated her organs to save three patients following her death by brain death.
Ms. A., who worked in the hospital's Administration and Management Department for 33 years, was hospitalized on September 20 after experiencing fever, dizziness, and nausea. Despite intensive treatment, her condition worsened due to a history of hypertension and cerebral cavernous malformation. After three medical assessments confirmed brain death between September 23 and September 24, her family made the decision to donate her organs.
The donation included two kidneys, which were transplanted to patients at Xanh Pôn General Hospital, and a liver, which was transferred to Viet Duc University Hospital for a suitable recipient. The hospital organized a ceremony to honor her dedication and the selfless act of her family.
