Xapuri implements new benefits and salary scales for public servants

The municipality of Xapuri has implemented new legislative measures regarding public servant compensation.

Administrative support staff within the municipal education network will receive a monthly food allowance of R$ 600. This benefit applies to both permanent and contract employees, though it excludes teachers, mediators, and other professionals who already receive a national salary floor. Retired employees, those on unpaid leave, and those under administrative punishment are also ineligible. The benefit is not incorporated into the base salary and may be suspended if municipal financial conditions change.

Additionally, the Municipal Chamber of Xapuri has approved a new remuneration table for commissioned positions, effective August 2026. The new structure establishes salaries for nine functions, with the highest being R$ 6,000 for a legal advisor. Other roles, such as administrative and financial directors, are set at R$ 5,000. The legislation also allows permanent employees assigned to commissioned roles to receive a pecuniary advantage of up to 30% of the position's value.
