Xavi Espart receives first Spain U-21 call-up

Xavi Espart has received his first call-up to the Spanish Under-21 national team following his successful integration into the FC Barcelona first team. The player, who previously won the U-19 European Championship, noted the rapid pace of his career progression and expressed pride in his ability to secure starting minutes under Hansi Flick.

Espart discussed his positional versatility, noting that while he has played as a defensive midfielder throughout much of his development, he has successfully transitioned to playing as a full-back. He is among the right-back options selected for the squad, though he remains open to playing in central midfield roles.
