Xavi Simons enrolls at Harvard Business School during injury recovery
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Xavi Simons has enrolled in a business course at Harvard Business School while recovering from a serious right knee injury. The 23-year-old Netherlands international suffered an ACL rupture that is expected to sideline him for the remainder of the season and potentially much of the next campaign.
Simons is participating in the remote ‘Crossover Into Business’ programme, which allows professional athletes to study alongside MBA students to learn about global industries, entrepreneurship, and business management. He announced his enrolment via LinkedIn, stating that while football remains his main focus, he wants to use his recovery time to learn and improve away from the pitch.
During his physical rehabilitation in the United States, Simons visited the Harvard campus in Boston, where he reconnected with Professor Anita Elberse, an acquaintance from his time at Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. He also took the opportunity to meet with members of the Boston Spurs Official Supporters Club.
