Xavier Pascual to lead handball youth development in Bihar

A new youth development program titled ‘Bihar kézilabdázik’ has been launched in Oradea to revitalize handball in the Bihar region. The initiative aims to establish training centers operating under unified professional principles across multiple settlements in the county. The goal is to expand the sport's talent pool and develop players capable of competing for Nagyváradi VSK or the national team.

The program is being professionally coordinated by Xavier Pascual, a highly decorated coach and former Barcelona goalkeeper. The project was presented at the Nagyvárad Arena and involves Marcel Sas Adăscăliții, manager of the Nagyváradi VSK men's team, and Dan Pițigoi, the team's assistant coach, who will oversee practical implementation.
