Xavier Tillman aims for dual championships with Trabzonspor
Xavier Tillman, a 27-year-old basketball player who recently joined Trabzonspor from the NBA, has expressed his goal of winning both domestic league and European trophies with the club. Tillman, a 2.03-meter power forward, previously played for the Memphis Grizzlies, Boston Celtics, and Charlotte Hornets.
Tillman noted that he sought a move to Trabzonspor to secure more playing time after limited opportunities during his final two NBA seasons. He identified his primary on-court strengths as setting screens, finishing around the rim with both hands, and defensive resistance.
Reflecting on his career, Tillman shared that he experienced the loss of his father during the same period he won an NBA championship with the Boston Celtics in 2024. He also cited LeBron James as a childhood role model and encouraged young athletes to work relentlessly to achieve success.
