Xavier University defeats Bowling Green 2-0 in men's soccer

Xavier University defeated Bowling Green State University 2-0 in a non-conference men's soccer match held in Cincinnati, Ohio. The victory allows the Musketeers to remain undefeated at home.

Jose Pedro secured the win for Xavier by scoring two late goals. His first goal arrived with approximately 12 minutes remaining in the match after capitalizing on a defensive miscommunication. Pedro scored his second goal on a counterattack with only three seconds left in play.

Bowling Green, which falls to a 1-4-0 record, struggled to generate offensive pressure, recording only eight total shots compared to Xavier's 16. Freshman Luciano Perez-Cernuda led the Falcons with three shot attempts and both of the team's shots on goal. Xavier dominated corner kicks with a 15-2 advantage.
