Xàbia's La Grava Beach Closed After Suspected Boat Spill

The municipal authorities in Xàbia have temporarily closed La Grava Beach and raised a red flag after detecting a spill from a boat in the water. Lifeguards are preventing swimmers from entering and advising the public to use other nearby beaches while water samples are analysed.

The closure will be lifted if laboratory results confirm that the water is not contaminated. The incident occurs during the peak summer season, after the town previously resolved similar pollution problems and saw the nearby Arenal Beach regain its blue‑flag status.
