Xbox expands Game Pass with Virtua Fighter 5 and Free Play Days titles

Microsoft has announced several updates to its Xbox gaming services for September 2026. As part of the Xbox Free Play Days promotion running from September 10 to September 13, subscribers of Xbox Game Pass Essential, Premium, and Ultimate can access six titles at no extra cost. The featured lineup includes Borderlands 4, Madden NFL 27, F1 25, Dustborn, CarX Drift Racing Online, and Surviving Mars.

Additionally, SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have introduced Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage to the Xbox Game Pass library for Ultimate, Premium, and PC subscribers. This modernized version of the fighting game features updated graphics via the Dragon Engine, cross-play capabilities, and enhanced training tools. Another title, the roguelike card game The Royal Writ, has also joined the service for Premium and Ultimate members.
