Xbox Game Pass announces new titles including Gears of War: E-Day

Microsoft has announced a significant wave of new titles for the Xbox Game Pass service, scheduled between mid-September and early October 2026. Key highlights include day-one releases for major franchises such as Gears of War: E-Day on October 6, Minecraft Dungeons II on September 29, and Dune: Awakening on September 22.

Other notable additions include Kernel Hearts, Well Dweller, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. The expansion of the catalog also affects various subscription tiers, with several titles like Ninja Gaiden 4 and Planet of Lana II moving into the Game Pass Premium tier. Access to these games remains available across consoles, PC, and cloud streaming platforms.

Separately, rumors have circulated regarding potential structural changes to Game Pass in 2027, including the introduction of an ad-supported tier and the possible removal of day-one releases. An Xbox spokesperson stated that while the company regularly tests different offerings, there are currently no finalized plans to announce changes to the service or its existing day-one commitments.
