Xbox Game Pass to lose nine titles, including Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Microsoft has announced that nine titles will depart the Xbox Game Pass library on October 15, 2026. The most notable exit is the award-winning RPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which won Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2025.
Other games scheduled to leave the service include A Plague Tale: Requiem, Pacific Drive, The Casting of Frank Stone, Evil West, Crime Scene Cleaner, Donut County, Nova Roma (PC only), and Superball. While Superball is a free-to-play title, the departure of the others means subscribers will need to purchase them separately to continue playing. Save data for departing titles is expected to be preserved for those who choose to buy the games later.
In addition to catalog changes, Xbox is introducing new monthly limits for cloud gaming starting in November 2026. Under the new system, Game Pass Ultimate members will have 15 hours of streaming per month, Premium members 10 hours, and Essential members 5 hours. Microsoft stated this change is intended to manage rising costs and ensure service reliability, noting it will affect approximately 4% of subscribers.
