Xbox Games Showcase 2026 unveils new titles and gives fans free limited‑edition consoles

Microsoft’s Xbox Games Showcase 2026 was streamed on a Sunday evening (19:00 France time) and featured a slate of new game announcements. Highlights included the debut of Gears of War: E‑Day, slated for 6 October 2026 and exclusive to Xbox Series consoles and PC; a new Fable trailer announcing a February 2027 release for PS5, Xbox Series and PC; and Halo: Campaign Evolved, a remastered version set for 28 July 2026 across the same platforms.

At the accompanying Xbox FanFest in Los Angeles, CEO Asha Sharma, joined by Matt Booty, announced that every attendee holding a Fan badge would receive a free Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition console. The limited‑edition hardware, unveiled during the showcase, will be commercially available in November, though distribution to fans will follow later.

These announcements illustrate Microsoft’s strategy to launch exclusive titles while strengthening community ties through high‑profile fan incentives.
