Xbox Games Showcase unveils Star Wars games and updates on Elder Scrolls 6
The June Xbox Games Showcase featured a flood of new titles and trailers. Highlights included two Star Wars games – the turn‑based "Star Wars Zero" and the racer "Star Wars Racers" – as well as a new Gears of War demo, a fresh Fable entry, Stronghold 4, a Company of Heroes preview, and the first look at "Total War: Warhammer 40000." Other announcements were Metro 2039, the BioWare‑veteran RPG Exodus: Origin, Alien Isolation 2, The Wolf Among Us 2, a Resident Evil Code: Veronica remake and the mysterious "1666 Amsterdam" from the original Assassin’s Creed team. Many of the reveals were continuations, remasters or genre experiments, prompting some fans to note the lack of a single, standout "wow" moment.
Separately, Xbox chief content officer Matt Booty said the long‑awaited Elder Scrolls 6 is "coming along well," with Bethesda’s studio largely focused on its development. While no release window was given, Booty pledged that Microsoft will announce the game "at the right time" when the product is ready for a major reveal.
