Xbox Series X 25th Anniversary Edition rumored for November 2026 launch

A rumored 25th Anniversary edition of the Xbox Series X is expected to launch on November 27, 2026, coinciding with Black Friday. The special edition console features a translucent “OG Green” shell inspired by the original 2001 Xbox hardware.

Reports from Dealabs suggest the console will retail for approximately $899.99 in the US and €899.99 in Europe. This price represents a significant premium over standard models, placing it in a similar price bracket to the PS5 Pro. The higher cost is attributed to the unique design and recent industry-wide price increases for Xbox hardware.

The console is expected to include a matching translucent wireless controller that draws design cues from the original Xbox “Duke” controller. While the controller will be bundled with the console, Microsoft is also expected to sell it as a standalone product. Official details regarding the controller's individual pricing and pre-order availability are anticipated to be discussed at Gamescom 2026.
