Xbox tests 1440p resolution for Remote Play

Xbox is testing several new features for its consoles through the Xbox Insider Program, most notably an increase in Remote Play resolution. Currently limited to 1080p, the new update would allow users to stream games at up to 1440p with a higher bitrate, bringing the quality in line with Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Other features detailed for the upcoming October update include the ability for users to choose their console's boot-up animation, a new badge feature for profiles, local search for achievements, and background downloads during cloud streaming. The update also aims to improve party reliability and security, alongside built-in microphone noise suppression.
