Sergeant Johnson relaxes on a beach, watches a clip of the original non‑canonical ending, then an explosion lights the sky and a Pelican arrives to extract him. Before departing he breaks the fourth wall, saying “See you in the sequel,” directly foreshadowing another Halo installment. The video of the scene is already online.

The remake, built with Unreal Engine 5, launched globally on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Game Pass.
