XCF Global recovers 500 kW of steam power and 50,000 gal of water daily at Nevada SAF plant
XCF Global, Inc. (Nasdaq: SAFX), an emerging renewable fuels company, highlighted operational efficiency measures at its New Rise Renewables Reno facility in Nevada. The plant, capable of producing 38 million gallons of renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel per year, now captures up to 500 kW of electricity from excess steam using a turbine generator, reducing its purchased power. It also recovers approximately 35 gallons per minute of water—more than 50,000 gallons per day—helping conserve resources in the arid region.
These initiatives lower operating costs, cut emissions, and support XCF’s broader goal of decarbonizing transportation. CEO Chris Cooper said the company is committed to “practical measures within our plant operations” as part of its strategy to scale low‑carbon fuel production. XCF is pursuing expansion projects in Nevada, North Carolina and Florida.
