XCF Global stresses domestic SAF as U.S. jet fuel climbs to $4.26 per gallon
Jet fuel prices in the United States rose to $4.26 per gallon on May 4, 2026, according to the Argus US Jet Fuel Index. XCF Global, Inc. (Nasdaq: SAFX) highlighted that the elevated price underscores the strategic value of domestic, waste‑based sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) for airlines seeking lower‑emission, resilient fuel supplies.
The company’s New Rise Renewables Reno facility, which has a nameplate capacity of 38 million gallons of SAF per year, is currently offline for planned upgrades and is slated to resume operations in June 2026. CEO Chris Cooper said the higher jet fuel cost reinforces the importance of U.S. production, proximity to feedstocks, and verified sustainability documentation to meet airline and regulator needs.
XCF Global positions its domestic SAF capability as a way to improve fuel‑cost visibility and supply‑chain resilience, while also supporting CORSIA‑eligible reporting for customers. The firm is pursuing additional expansion projects in Nevada, North Carolina and Florida.
