XDS Astana signs Anthony Turgis to two-year contract

XDS Astana has announced the signing of French cyclist Anthony Turgis on a two-year contract covering the 2027 and 2028 seasons. Turgis joins the team from TotalEnergies, marking the first time in his professional career that he will compete for a team based outside of France.

A specialist in spring classics and one-day races, the 32-year-old brings significant experience to the roster, including a stage win at the 2024 Tour de France and a second-place finish at the 2022 Milano-Sanremo. Team General Manager Alexandr Vinokurov stated that the signing is intended to bolster the team’s influence in one-day races and provide valuable experience during Grand Tours.

Turgis expressed enthusiasm for the move, noting that the team’s focus on the classics aligns with his professional goals and provides a new challenge for his career.
