Xero and WiseTech Global face significant ASX share price declines

Xero Ltd and WiseTech Global Ltd are facing significant share price declines on the ASX. Xero shares have fallen approximately 11% over the past month and are down nearly 46% year-to-date. The decline follows a period of volatility where the company had previously rallied on the introduction of AI-powered tools and product updates in the US. Investors remain focused on the potential impact of the Melio acquisition on near-term margins, with half-year financial results scheduled for November 12.

WiseTech Global has also seen a substantial drop, with its share price down 50.9% since the start of 2025. Despite the decline, the company maintains high margins, reporting a gross margin of 84% in its latest annual report. WiseTech provides cloud-based software for the logistics industry, including its cornerstone Cargowise platform, which is used by a significant portion of the world's largest freight forwarders.
