XGRIDS unveils Lixel L3 high-accuracy spatial scanner
XGRIDS has introduced the Lixel L3, a flagship high-accuracy spatial scanner designed for complex sites. The device integrates high-accuracy LiDAR, a true-color vision system, integrated RTK, and a built-in display to streamline the capture workflow.
In documented testing, the L3 demonstrated a validated 5 mm relative accuracy and approximately 2.5 cm real-time absolute accuracy. The system utilizes an integrated SLAM system and vision-aided localization to maintain stability and minimize drift during extended scanning sessions. The device is capable of covering roughly 100 square meters in 10 minutes.
For visual output, the L3 features a 1/1.3-inch CMOS 4K HDR imaging system. It can produce true-color point clouds, detailed meshes, and photorealistic 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) models. XGRIDS’ proprietary LCC2 format is designed to support 3DGS workflows within established software platforms like Autodesk 3ds Max and Trimble SketchUp, targeting the AEC, film, and virtual production industries.
