Üxheim L70 Collision Injures Six

A serious traffic collision occurred on the L70 near Üxheim-Ahütte and Ahrdorf on a late Friday afternoon at about 16:45. The driver of a black VW Passat veered into the opposite lane in a long left-hand curve and struck an oncoming Mercedes‑Benz Sprinter. Four occupants of the Passat – a couple with their children – and the two occupants of the Sprinter were lightly injured and were taken to nearby hospitals as a precaution. A third vehicle that drove over debris was also damaged and could not be driven.

All three vehicles were towed and the L70 was fully closed while emergency work continued. Police from Daun led the response together with two emergency physicians, four paramedics, volunteer fire brigades from Üxheim and Hillesheim, and road‑maintenance staff from the Kelberg road authority. No fatalities were reported.
