Xi Jinping urges BRICS to seek peaceful Middle East resolution

Chinese President Xi Jinping has called on BRICS nations to work toward a peaceful resolution of the conflicts in the Middle East. Speaking at the BRICS Summit in New Delhi, Xi noted that the situation in the Middle East and the Gulf region continues to develop in a complex manner, causing heavy losses for local populations.

Xi emphasized that the current instability does not serve the common interests of the international community. He urged all parties to move toward a political solution and achieve a lasting, comprehensive ceasefire. Highlighting the Palestinian issue as central to the regional crisis, Xi stressed the importance of implementing a two-state solution between Israel and Palestine. He stated that China is prepared to play an active role alongside BRICS members to contribute to peace and stability in the region.
