Xiaomi 18 Pro global models may feature lower battery capacity

Leaks from the HyperOS code suggest that the global versions of the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Pro Max may feature lower battery capacities and slower charging speeds compared to the models released in China.

According to findings by Kacper Skrzypek, the Chinese version of the Xiaomi 18 Pro is expected to have a 7,000 mAh battery, while the global model (code 2609BPN61G) may only feature 6,000 mAh. The discrepancy is even larger for the Pro Max model; while the Chinese version is slated for 8,500 mAh, the global version (code 2611FPNFAG) appears to be linked to a 7,050 mAh capacity.

These differences represent a reduction of approximately 14% to 17% in battery capacity for international markets. Additionally, reports indicate the global Xiaomi 18 Pro may see a reduction in wired charging power to 90W. While battery life depends on various factors like processor efficiency and display consumption, these technical specifications have not yet been officially confirmed by Xiaomi.
