Xiaomi 18 series may feature staggered release schedule

Xiaomi is reportedly planning a staggered release for its upcoming Xiaomi 18 flagship series, departing from its traditional strategy of launching all models simultaneously. According to leaks from ‘Digital Chat Station’, the Xiaomi 18 Pro may debut as early as late September, potentially following the Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit scheduled for September 22–24. The standard Xiaomi 18 model is expected to follow much later, around December.

The entire series is anticipated to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processor, manufactured using TSMC’s 2nm process, which promises improved performance and energy efficiency. The devices are expected to be available in five colors: black, white, pink, blue, and red.

A significant hardware change may occur in the standard model's camera system. Instead of the previous 50-megapixel triple-lens setup, the standard Xiaomi 18 may adopt a Leica-tuned dual-camera system featuring a 200-megapixel sensor.
