Xiaomi unveils Redmi Watch 6 Active and Lite details, pricing surprise
Xiaomi is set to expand its Redmi Watch 6 lineup with two budget‑oriented variants, the Active and the Lite. Leaked specifications show both models will use AMOLED displays—1.85 inches for the Active and 1.96 inches for the Lite—with resolutions of 390 × 450 px and 410 × 502 px respectively. The Lite adds a multi‑system GPS module and a 9‑axis motion sensor, while both retain Bluetooth 5.3, speaker support for calls, heart‑rate monitoring, SpO₂ measurement, sleep tracking, step counting and more than 140 sport modes. Each is powered by a 470 mAh battery.
Pricing leaks for the European market indicate the Active will cost about €50, making it the cheaper of the pair, whereas the Lite, despite its “Lite” label, is expected to retail near €60 due to the added GPS and larger screen. The devices are positioned below the standard Redmi Watch 6, which sports a 2.07‑inch screen and a 550 mAh battery. Xiaomi has not confirmed an official launch date, but the information suggests a imminent announcement aimed at the low‑price segment of the smartwatch market.
