Xiaomi begins global beta rollout of HyperOS 4
Xiaomi has initiated the global beta rollout of its next-generation operating system, HyperOS 4. The deployment is being conducted in stages, starting with a recruitment phase for specific high-end models and expanding to include a wider range of devices.
The initial wave of beta testing includes the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and the Leica Leitzphone powered by Xiaomi. A second group of devices, including the Xiaomi 17T, Xiaomi 17T Pro, Xiaomi 15, and Xiaomi 15 Ultra, is scheduled for recruitment starting September 17. Other eligible devices mentioned in testing waves include the REDMI K80, MIX Flip 2, Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra, and Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro.
HyperOS 4 introduces several technical improvements, such as optimized RAM management through AI-driven pre-loading, which aims to increase available memory by up to 33% after continuous use. The update also features a redesigned Gallery with faster photo analysis, a new ‘Soft Light Glass’ visual style, and enhanced customization for lock screens.
Users interested in participating must apply through the Xiaomi Community Beta Center. Xiaomi notes that as this is pre-release software, users may encounter temporary issues such as increased battery drain or device temperatures. The rollout is being managed through regional servers in Europe and Asia to ensure stability before a full public release.
