Xiaomi expands smartwatch lineup with Watch S5 and Watch 2

Xiaomi is expanding its smartwatch lineup with new offerings across different price points and operating systems. The Watch S5 series utilizes Xiaomi’s proprietary HyperOS and features a 46mm stainless steel case. Available in various finishes including ceramic and forged carbon, the entry-level model starts at approximately 158.99 euros. Key upgrades for the S5 include a brighter display, heart rate variability (HRV) measurement, and a specialized cycling mode.

In a different segment, the Xiaomi Watch 2 runs on Google’s Wear OS and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 chip. This model offers 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, allowing for independent app usage and music storage. The Watch 2 provides up to 65 hours of typical battery life and has recently seen significant price reductions in certain markets.
