Xiaomi HyperOS introduces performance and data‑management tools

Xiaomi’s HyperOS operating system adds hidden optimization features for Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO smartphones. A network‑acceleration tool can combine Wi‑Fi and mobile data, while dual‑band Wi‑Fi speed boosts and automatic network switching help maintain a stable connection. The system can also merge 5G mobile data with home Wi‑Fi when the latter is weak.

The Themes application lets users customize control‑center colors, icons and the status bar, and a slide‑out sidebar provides quick access to frequently used apps without returning to the home screen. For demanding workloads, HyperOS can allocate part of internal storage as virtual RAM, extending memory at the cost of reduced storage capacity.
