Xiaomi launches energy-efficient heat pump washer-dryer

Xiaomi has expanded its home appliance lineup with the launch of the Mijia Washing Machine Delicate Wash Pro Supreme Edition Heat Pump Washer-Dryer. This 13kg capacity unit is the brand’s first washer-dryer to utilize heat pump technology.

The heat pump system reuses internal heat rather than generating new heat for every cycle. According to Xiaomi, this method can reduce electricity consumption by up to 73% during the drying process compared to traditional condensation models. The device also features a dual-fan heat pump designed to accelerate drying speeds by up to 49% and improve heat exchange efficiency by 59%.

The machine offers 35 washing and drying programs, including 11 specialized treatment programs. It utilizes super electrolysis technology to target various stains and includes a high-density double-layer filter for lint and residue. The unit is priced at approximately 6,499 yuan (around $970) and is available via the Xiaomi Youpin platform.
