Xiaomi launches first NAS product, Xiaomi Smart Storage

Xiaomi has officially launched its first Network Attached Storage (NAS) product, named Xiaomi Smart Storage. The device is currently available for reservation on JD.com in China, with the reservation period running from August 27 to September 26.

The product features a dual-bay design supporting up to 60TB of total storage using 3.5 or 2.5-inch hard drives. It is offered in three configurations: a 4TB model for 2,699 CNY, an 8TB model for 3,499 CNY, and a 16TB model for 5,499 CNY. Technical specifications include a Realtek RTD1619B chip, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a 2.5GbE network port, a USB-A 3.0 interface, and an HDMI 1.4 port.

Key features include AI-powered smart photo albums, support for up to 16 user accounts, and integration with the Xiaomi smart home ecosystem. The device also supports 4K HDR10 video playback, remote downloading, and automated media management for creating digital poster walls. For users on HyperOS 3.0 or above, it offers enhanced file management and device backup capabilities.
