Xiaomi launches HyperOS 4 global beta program

Xiaomi has launched the global and European Economic Area (EEA) beta recruitment for its HyperOS 4 operating system. The rollout is being conducted in two distinct waves.

The first phase is currently open to owners of the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and the Leica Leitzphone by Xiaomi. Users can apply for testing through the Xiaomi Community app. A second wave is scheduled for September 17, 2026, which will expand eligibility to the Xiaomi 17T, Xiaomi 17T Pro, Xiaomi 15, and Xiaomi 15 Ultra.

HyperOS 4 introduces several visual and functional updates, including the ‘Soft Light Glass’ design language, which utilizes layered effects for widgets, notification cards, and lock screen elements. Other features include grouped notifications, stacked widgets, and a redesigned Fusion Device Center.

Xiaomi advises that because this is beta software, it may contain bugs or stability issues and is not intended for use as a primary daily device.
