Xiaomi launches Mijia Smart Range Hood 3 with intelligent features

Xiaomi has launched the Mijia Smart Range Hood 3, a new smart kitchen appliance featuring advanced ventilation and maintenance capabilities. The device is currently available for pre-sale in China via Xiaomi Youpin for 1,499 yuan.

Key technical specifications include a DC inverter motor and a fan capable of reaching 2,200 rpm, moving up to 25 cubic meters of air per minute—a 9% increase in airflow over the previous generation. To address resistance in shared exhaust ducts common in high-rise buildings, the hood utilizes a cruise boost algorithm that automatically adjusts air volume and pressure to maintain efficient flow.

The design features a lateral mounting structure that positions the smoke inlet 131 mm lower than conventional European models, bringing the suction area closer to the cooking surface to capture vapors more effectively. Additionally, the device includes a dry cleaning mode where the rotor spins at high speeds to remove oil and grease buildup, and supports gesture control for hands-free operation of power and fan speed.
